The Symbol
The Ō Philosophy
The symbol represents two opposites - two different forces - coming together to create something greater than themselves. It is the meeting point where growth, learning, and transformation occur.
In Jiu Jitsu, this is embodied by the guard player and the guard passer. Opposing forces, each with a different objective, yet together they give shape to the art. One cannot exist without the other. Through constant challenge and adaptation, evolution takes place.
The symbol represents balance between complementary forces, the pursuit of continuous improvement, and the beauty found in the process of growth.

Artevō Jiu Jitsu Academy is located at Shop 4A 72 Burnett St, Buderim, on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. A purpose-built mat space designed for technical training across all levels, for adults, kids, and competitors alike.
